Sorbent

Sorbent Nonwoven Textile

By blending the superior absorbent qualities and non-deforming, robust character of Meltblown fabrics with ultrasonic bonding technology, we develop multi-layered sorbent solutions for the liquid management needs of the global industry.

On our high-tech ultrasonic bonding line with a width of 160 cm, we have the capability to laminate up to 6 different layers of Meltblown fabric. Thanks to our online perforation system, we can perform both crosswise and lengthwise perforation, and we also offer precise cutting options in single-sheet format. Our sorbent products, which optimize safety in workplaces worldwide, exhibit unique performance in trapping harmful liquids. With features such as practical use, flame retardancy, easy storage, and recyclability, they provide advantages at international standards compared to traditional absorbent materials.

Sorbent Product Qualities

Our Meltblown-based sorbent product range is offered to world markets in roll or sheet forms with different layer and pattern alternatives.

Our sorbent products absorb liquids rapidly and with high capacity thanks to the large surface area derived from the micron-level fine fiber structure of Meltblown fabric. In structures combined with multi-layer ultrasonic bonding, absorption capacity and mechanical strength increase proportionally as the number of layers increases.

It is preferred in a wide range of applications in global industrial facilities, such as under-machine leaks, factory floor safety, chemical spill response, and medical fluid management. Our hydrophobic versions play a critical role in marine and port pollution response (marine-type applications) by repelling water and absorbing only oil and hydrocarbon-based liquids.

Our products in perforated roll form can be easily torn off by our users in the sizes they need. In sheet form, they are supplied as pre-cut pads ranging from a minimum of 20 cm to a maximum of 60 cm. The Dimple and Little Dot pattern options we offer in both forms provide different retention and absorption performances.

Areas of Use

Walking pads (factory and workshop floors), under-machine absorbent pads, indoor fluid control applications, medical fluid absorption products, chemical leakage control pads, marine type marine pollution response products, industrial cleaning cloths.

Frequently Asked Questions

01. How does the number of layers in sorbent products affect sorption performance?

Each additional Meltblown layer increases the absorption capacity by increasing the total fiber surface area. A 2-layer pad is sufficient for light leaks, while 4-6 layer constructions offer ideal performance for heavy industrial leaks and chemical response applications. Together with our technical team, we can determine the optimum number of layers according to the amount of absorption required by your application.

Standard sorbent products absorb all liquids, both water and oil based, and are suitable for indoor and general purpose use. Hydrophobic sorbent products repel water and absorb only oil and hydrocarbon based liquids. This feature provides a critical advantage in marine applications such as collecting oil pollution floating on the sea surface, harbor and coastal cleaning.

Both patterns are dot patterns that join the fabric layers during ultrasonic bonding. The Dimple pattern creates larger and sparser bonding dots, giving the fabric high bulkiness and absorption capacity. The Little Dot pattern, on the other hand, provides more homogeneous surface distribution and high mechanical strength with denser and finer bonding dots. The appropriate pattern is selected according to whether the priority of the application is absorption or durability.
